1. Please, allow your dealer to winterize
your water system. Please do not ask us how, as we will not
be held responsible for anything broken from freezing. If
you elect to do it yourself neither R’N R, the manufacturer
or the extended warranty company will pay for repairing your
water system.
2.
Only use covers designed and fitted in the protection of your
RV. Different covers offer different types of protection.
Check with our parts department for help in choosing the correct
cover for your RV. You must use a breathable approved RV cover.
3.
If tires are exposed to direct sun, the sun damage can cause
a tire blowout. We suggest the use of tire covers. This will
help to stop weather damage to your tires.
4.
During winter, store your RV with all slide-outs in. If possible,
store where wind and blowing snow are not directed at slide-outs.
It is possible for blowing snow to enter past a slide seal,
causing moisture inside your RV.
5.
Snow load on the roof of your RV should only be removed if
in excess of 18-24” (your RV can handle some snow load).
Cleaning snow can cause damage to your TV antennas, roof AC
covers, vent covers etc. Things that are made of plastic can
become very brittle in the cold. Be very careful.
6.
Battery Maintenance – If possible, remove batteries
and store inside garage or shop. Charge at least once a month
with 10-15 AMP charger. Remember it can take 24-36 hrs to
charge one battery to a full charge at this rate. Always monitor
fluid levels. Charging a battery causes excess evaporation
of fluid. Fill battery with distilled water, tap water has
too many minerals, which can be harmful to battery.
